Introduction to Disk Grain Making Machine

Generally speaking, disk grain making machine is frequently applied in compound fertilizer production line. It can produce products with different granularity like pharmaceutical products, chemical fertilizers, feed, etc. Also known as disk granulator, the disc adopts overall arc structure with granulation rate of above 93%. The plate disc is equipped with three discharging ports which has the functions of intermittent operation, reducing labor and enhancing efficiency.

Reducer and motor are driven by the flexible belt, which contributes to stable start-up and long service life. The bottom of the plate is reinforced with multi-spoke steel plate which is firm, durable, not out of shape. There is no need for anchor to bolt the base for smooth operation.

Working Procedure of Disk Granulator

Raw material powder will be evenly humidificated by atomized water in the biaxial mixer, form cores with homogeneous particle size and water content of 12 ~ 14%. Water should be mostly added in biaxial mixer while additional water of 0 ~ 3% of the total amount can be added in the balling plate. In dry powder granulation, the powder is directly added into the ball plate, and will be sprayed with moderate amount of water. Under centrifugal force, friction and gravity effect, the raw material core moves on a parabolic trajectory.

Due to cohesiveness and plasticity of the material, the cores will bond together and grow in size in athletic process. When the parameters of the angle, plate height, rotation speed, and water are certain, balls with different sizes will roll down due to the different gravity. In the continuous rolling process, water will be constantly drained off the surface of the materials. Due to cohesiveness and natural volatility, the balls gain certain strength, and then with the rotation of the inclined plate body, they will be discharged from the dish side.
